Today was exhausting to say the least. I went to bed last night not feeling well, and woke up feeling even worse, but no time to rest, today was the last day of school and there were things to be done. Katelyn had awards at 9:30 as did Owen. I got up, did Katelyn's hair, got the kids breakfast and drove them to school. I then rushed back home to take a shower and get ready to go back to school. I cut up the fruit I was to take to Owen's class, and got all the gifts together. I got to school just in time to see the awards ceremony for Katelyn and then ran to Owen's class to watch his. Katelyn made the A honor roll for the whole year, got an award for being in the Spelling Bee, as well as many other awards that are escaping me now. Owen got the Perfect Attendance award and the Baby Ruth Award for always being a good sport. He was excited about showing me all that he got from his teacher. I felt like I ran from one side of the school to the next at least ten times today. Never enough time to really say the thanks I really wanted to say to the teachers. It was emotional as well, I said goodbye to Shee after being her sitter for 18 months, and also said good bye to the best teachers I have ever known. Mrs. Welch and Mrs. Meador. It was fun to see the kids play and interact with their friends while the teachers looked on. They were emotional as well, I think the kids really got to them this year. I know it is always hard for me to say goodbye to my kiddo's when I teach, so I can only imagine how these teachers fill. In the end, we all agreed this wasn't goodbye, but see you again soon.
On another note... Owen has his eye surgery tomorrow at 1p.m. I'm nervous but calm at the same time. I trust God will take care of him, and be with his doctor through the procedure.
