VBS Starts the Summer Fun

VBS, what a way to start the summer. Our church always does a awesome job at making things look easy, and this year was no different. Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall is our home away from home and I wouldn't have it any other way. We have made such good friends there, became part of a family and have watched our children grow and love the lord just as we have. Joe took time off of work again this year to volunteer at VBS. He was a group leader and in charge of seven very rambunctious kids. Katelyn and Owen loved having him there. I worked in the nursery holding precious little babies while their mom's volunteered in other areas of VBS. It was a lot of fun, both from my standing and Joe's. The kids couldn't wait to tell me each day what they learned and seen. It was so neat to see the light in their eyes as they would tell me about the stories of God's love. Owen made a confession this week, and said he needs to "babatized" some day. He will be able to take the young Christian's class soon and then he will be baptized. I'm so very excited for him, and proud of his decision. Joe and I have been answering lots of questions lately and hoped this day was coming. The weekend ended with two live crocodiles being brought out on stage...(the theme was crocodile dock). Don't know how I will compete with that to make the rest of their summer fun, but oh how I will try... :)
